Radio City Music Hall, has a brand new spring event that is perfect for the entire family! The New York Spring Spectacular takes audiences on a whirlwind adventure across New York City while telling an inspiring and hopeful narrative about New Yorkers who change each other’s lives in unexpectedly wonderful ways. The brand-new, live theatrical production stars Tony Award winning actress Laura Benanti as the female lead, Jenna, Emmy Award winning choreographer Derek Hough as the male lead, Jack and the legendary Rockettes. The production also includes cameos from some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment including Whoopi Goldberg as the voice of the Statue of Liberty puppet, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as the voices of the New York Public Library lion puppets, Bella Thorne as the voice of the Alice in Wonderland statue, Henrik Lundqvist, Carmelo Anthony, Donald Trump and more.
New York Spring Spectacular is led by an award-winning creative team that includes Tony and Drama Desk Award winner Warren Carlyle as director and choreographer, Tony Award winning Director and Artistic Director of the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) Diane Paulus and American playwright and Drama Desk Award winner Randy Weiner as the show’s co-creative directors, Emmy Award winner Mia Michaels as the choreographer of the production’s opening number, and up-and-coming playwright Joshua Harmon. The limited seven week engagement is running now through May 7, 2015
