The Billboard Music Awards 2015 Nominees

The Billboard Music Awards nominations has been announced and Taylor Swift leads them with no less than 14 nominations in 13 categories, followed by Sam Smith with 13, Iggy Azalea with 12 and Meghan Trainor with 9.

The Billboard Music Awards finalist are based on album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social-media interaction.

This year, in addition of the 40 chart-specific categories, fans will choose who gets the Billboard chart achievement award, voting on Billboard.com, BillboardMusicAwards.com and on Twitter, Iggy Azalea, Meghan Trainor and of course Taylor Swift are up for the only fan-voted prize.

The Billboard Music Award 2015 will air live form the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 17, from 8 – 11 p.m. ET on ABC
